Knights of Columbus

Serving the parishes of Holy Family, Mother of Sorrows, and Saint Mary

Welcome

We are a band of brothers, a network of men dedicated to doing good in the service of God and our neighbor, guided by our four core principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. We are men of faith and men of action. We are the Knights of Columbus.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, with over 2 million members worldwide. One of the most active charitable organizations in the United States, the Knights donated more than $154 million and 48 million hours of service in 2021 alone, continuing an unbroken tradition that spans more than 130 years.

The Fr. Maruskin Council #10936, serving the parishes of Holy Family, Mother of Sorrows, and Saint Mary, was formed in 1992 with 35 members and has grown to 160 members strong. Our mission is to provide service to the Church, the community, our council, families, youth, and the culture of life, all under the guiding principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

Knights of Columbus Change Fundraiser for Akron Pregnancy Services

The Knights of Columbus Fr. Maruskin Council #10936 thanks Holy Family parishioners for their past support of the Baby Bottle Boomerang project benefiting Akron Pregnancy Services (APS) Pregnancy Center. While successful, the effort has become less efficient due to the handling of bottles and loose change.

This year, the Council is participating in the APS Walk for Life on Saturday, May 16, held at the Robinson House on Buchtel Avenue. The Walk for Life is a fully digital fundraising event where participants form teams and gather pledges from family, friends, and supporters.

Fr. Maruskin Council has formed three teams, each led by a past Grand Knight and named for one of the Council’s guiding principles: Team Charity, Team Unity, and Team Fraternity.

Each team begins with an initial $500 in Council funds and will raise additional support through their individual donation links.

To learn more about the teams and make a donation, please visit the Knights of Columbus Walk for Life page using the navigation.

Thank you for your support.

Vivat Jesus!
