A Sacred Step in Your Child's Faith Journey

The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are beautiful milestones in the life of a Catholic child. Through these sacraments, children encounter God's mercy in a personal way and are welcomed more deeply into the life of Christ and His Church.

At Holy Family Parish, we believe parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith. Our Sacramental Preparation Program is designed to support and accompany your family as your child prepares to receive these sacraments with understanding, reverence, and joy.

Through faith formation classes, family-centered experiences, prayer, and participation in Sunday Mass, we work together to help children grow in their relationship with Jesus and discover the gift of His presence in the Eucharist.

What to Expect During Preparation

Sacramental preparation includes:

  • Religious education and formation
  • Family faith experiences
  • Prayer opportunities
  • Participation in Sunday Mass
  • First Reconciliation preparation and celebration
  • First Holy Communion preparation and celebration

Each part of the program helps children deepen their understanding of God's love and prepares them to receive these sacraments with confidence and faith.

Retreats and Required Events

A meaningful preparation for the sacraments involves more than classroom learning.

Our retreats and practice sessions provide opportunities for children and parents to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and prepare spiritually for these sacred celebrations.

Attendance at these events is an important part of your child's sacramental preparation. The practice session helps children feel comfortable and confident so they can focus on the beauty and significance of the day.

We appreciate your commitment to making these experiences a priority for your family.
