Do Right, Love Goodness, Walk Humbly with Your God. - Micah 6:8

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion

He fed them with the finest wheat

and satisfied them with honey from the rock.

Psalm 81:17

At Holy Family, our Sacramental Preparation program nurtures each child’s growing relationship with Jesus. Through classroom lessons, family-centered events, prayer, and participation in Sunday Mass, we partner with parents to help children understand both the meaning and the beauty of these sacred moments. Together, we prepare hearts to receive Jesus with joy, reverence, and a true sense of belonging in His Church.

Baptismal Certificates

If your child was not baptized at Holy Family Parish, we will need a baptismal certificate. To obtain one, please contact the parish where your child was baptized and ask them to send a certificate to:

Holy Family Parish

3450 Sycamore Dr

Stow, OH 44224

Attn: Mrs. Raquel Berroteran

In order to keep proper records, we need certificates that were issued within the last six months and that have the parish seal.

We are unable to accept copies of certificates that you may have at home.

Important: Retreats and Mandatory Practice

Participation in our Source & Summit Retreat (for parents and children), Jesus Day Retreat (children only), and Group First Communion Practice is an essential part of your child’s preparation for receiving the Eucharist. These experiences are more than just events—they are meaningful opportunities for your child to grow in understanding, reverence, and love for this sacred Sacrament. Each one helps your child encounter Jesus more personally and receive the spiritual graces needed to be truly ready.

We kindly ask for your full participation and cooperation in making these moments a priority. If your child is participating in Group First Communion, attendance at the practice is  mandatory. Please mark your calendars now for Friday, May 8th from 6:00–7:00 PM in the Church and LCH. This practice ensures your child feels confident, prepared, and focused on the beauty of the day—not the logistics.

We are grateful for your commitment and partnership as we walk with your child toward this holy and joyful milestone.
