Baptism

Baptisms for children under the age of 7 are celebrated on the first Sunday of the month (group Baptism at 1:30 p.m.) and second Saturday/Sunday of the month (Baptism at Mass).  No Baptisms take place during Lent.  A parent preparation class is required for those parents of children, birth through age 3, who have not attended a previous Baptism class at Holy Family Parish.  There is a fee of $10.00 to cover the cost of class materials.  All classes are held from 7-9 p.m. in Room 1 of the Lower Church Hall.  It is recommended that parents attend during the second trimester of pregnancy, however parents are welcome at anytime.

Upcoming parent preparation classes will take place on the following dates:

  • July 12, 2017
  • September 20, 2017
  • November 8, 2017
  • January 17, 2018
  • March 14, 2018
  • May 9, 2018

Baptism for children ages 4-6 are arranged through Mrs. Diane Hurtuk.  She meets privately with the parents and then arranges a class for the child to prepare him/her for Baptism.  Children ages 7 and older join the RCIA for Children process.  See RCIA for Children information under the Sacraments drop down.
